The police watchdog says Provincial Police arrested the man in a Kemptville park on Monday and because of ill health he was taken to hospital.

When he was released from hospital Tuesday night he was taken into police custody.

This morning he complained of shortness of breath and was taken to Smiths Falls District Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No information has been released on why the man was initially arrested.
